Our measurements, comparisons and site searches run in your browser. We do not operate user accounts, upload forms, a measurement database or a newsletter. The site code does not store your inputs in cookies or persistent browser storage. Some links carry product presets or measurement values. Where a tool offers a shareable plan, its link contains the inputs needed to restore the plan; anyone with that URL can read them. Opening these URLs can put those inputs in browser history and ordinary hosting logs. Do not include sensitive personal information in a plan you share.

Hosting and correspondence

Our hosting and email providers may process request, security and email information to operate their services. If you contact the publication, your email address and message are used to handle the correspondence. Do not include sensitive personal information.

Analytics and external sites

Our application code does not add advertising pixels or advertising cookies. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may add its browser performance beacon to delivered pages and process request and page-performance information. See the Cloudflare privacy policy. Manufacturer and retailer links lead to services with their own privacy practices. Product links in this edition are not commission-bearing affiliate links.
